Big thanks to Fareshare and Tesco for allowing us access to their weekly collections of unwanted food.

Following several months of deliveries from Fareshare in Edinburgh we're delighted to now receive food waste from our local Tesco store in Peebles. As part of our climate change project to raise awareness of climate change and ways to address it in our young people, we have 2 weekly cookery classes to show young people how to reduce their food waste and cook delicious, healthy meals. Having real life access to food that would otherwise be thrown away often replicates what's happening at home and makes our cookery classes real for young people. We have seen a huge shift away from "what do we want to cook?" and are now hearing "what needs using up?" Feels like progress!!!
