Tweeddale Youth Action and the Craftpunk project enjoyed busy a SWISH night at the Tontine Hotel attended by over 50 young people. Swishing (clothes exchanging) is a great way to reduce the clothes that would normally end up in landfill and a good opportunity for us to live a low-carbon life. We asked young people to bring along some unwanted clothes lurking around in their wardrobe and swap them for some new ones, as well as water pledges and some crafting going on! The night was very well received and supported by Peebles locals with donations of clothes to start the night off. The clothes were weighed as they were brought in and we were able to convert that figure into a carbon emission saving.
